A waste-free, refill-your-own-container bulk foods store that manages to make the experience of buying pantry staples feel like an actual pleasure. The 4.8 Google rating is earned every visit.
The range is extraordinary: oils, nuts, seeds, grains, herbs, flours, spices, dried fruits, superfoods, protein powders, Australian chia seeds, organic gluten-free pastas, raw cacao products, vegan options, and a selection of delicious chocolates and sweets that makes it very hard to buy only what you came in for. The concept of the giant pantry you can shop as much or as little from as you like is exactly right, and the clean, welcoming environment makes the whole thing work.
The team behind The Source genuinely love what they do, and that shows in the customer service, the curation of the range and the way the store has embedded itself in the Caloundra community over the past decade. It is, as they say themselves, a foodie's heaven.
